GEO desk

Track the questions people ask AI search, and see whether a page on your site answers each one and what ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI Overview say and cite.

The GEO desk tracks questions people ask AI assistants and search engines, such as "how do I find keyword cannibalization". For each one, Meelu checks whether a page on your site answers that exact question, and what ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI Overview answer and cite.

Meelu suggests. It never changes your pages. You decide whether to write a new page, extend one, or leave it alone.

How a check works

Read the question

Meelu decides the intent (learning, comparing, buying, or looking for one site) and lists the points a full answer must contain, keeping every detail the question asks for.

Judge your closest pages

Meelu finds the pages on your site closest in meaning and reads each one in full. For every point it marks the page as answering it, partly answering it, or missing it, and quotes the passage that shows it.

Ask the AI systems

Meelu asks ChatGPT and Claude the same question with web search on, and reads Google's AI Overview for it. You see what each answer covers, what it misses, the pages it cites, and whether it cites you.

Give a verdict and a suggestion

The best page's average position comes from your Search Console data for the last 28 days. Together these give one of four verdicts, each with a suggestion grounded in what was found.

The four verdicts

  • No page: nothing on your site answers the question. A new page could fill the gap, and the Content desk can write it.
  • Partly answered: a page comes close but misses some points. The check names them.
  • Answered, low rank: a page answers fully but sits below Google's first page, so AI search rarely finds it. Work on its SEO, submit your site to Bing Webmaster Tools and Brave Search (ChatGPT search leans on Bing, Claude on Brave), and make sure robots.txt lets AI search bots in.
  • Covered: a page answers and ranks on the first page. AI answers change from one run to the next, so a citation is never guaranteed. Check again later.

The GEO screen

  • the header, with Add question, Suggest questions (in the app), Check stale questions and Ask Meelu,
  • four counts: questions with no page, partly answered, answered with a low rank, and how many are cited by an AI answer,
  • a table of your questions with the verdict, best page, its position, which AI systems cite you and when it was last checked.

Click a question to open its check on the right: what the question needs and which points your page answers, what your page adds that the AI answers do not, each AI answer with its citations, and the suggestion. From there you can Check again or Stop tracking it.

Check stale questions checks every question that has not been checked in the last 7 days. A website can track up to 100 questions.

Adding questions

Write each question the way a person types it into ChatGPT or Google. Add related questions (the follow-up, the comparison, what comes next), not rewordings of the same one: one page that answers a question already covers its rewordings. In the app, Suggest questions has Meelu propose questions from your business profile and search data, and saves them once you agree.

Credits

A check asks ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI Overview, and makes a few AI model calls to read your pages, so each check uses credits at what they cost. See Credits and billing.
