Asking the SEO desk

Use task cards, the Ask button and your own saved prompts to put Meelu to work on your SEO.

Every SEO screen lets you hand a question to Meelu. Meelu reads your Search Console and Analytics data, your clusters and the search market, then answers with the evidence. These features work in the desktop app. See Working with the agent.

Three ways to start

WhereWhat it does
Ask Meelu (sparkle icon, top right of each screen)Opens an empty task with suggested prompts for that screen. Type your own question or pick a suggestion.
Task cards under Start a taskStart a ready-made task with one click. Meelu begins at once.
Cards under Your promptsYour own saved prompts for this website. Click one to run it.

A task opens in the task panel. You can answer Meelu's questions, approve what it proposes, or tell it to change course. When Meelu wants to save something, such as competitors, it shows you first and saves only what you agree with.

Task cards on the SEO home screen

Task cardWhat Meelu does
Long-tail keywords from People Also AskYou give a keyword. Meelu turns Google's People Also Ask questions and autocomplete suggestions into long-tail keywords, groups them, checks their volume and ranks them by intent, buyers first.
Keyword ideas from a seedYou give a seed keyword or topic. Meelu finds related keywords, groups them, drops the groups that miss the intent, and tells you how many are informational, commercial and transactional.
Content to match a competitorYou name a competitor. Meelu finds keywords it ranks for and you do not, picks 10 groups, and for each suggests editing one of your pages or writing a new one, plus which pages should link to it.
Plan content for a topicYou give a topic. Meelu first asks what the content is for, what value it should give readers, and whether you want one page or a series. Then it plans a hub page and supporting pages from keyword clusters, says which of your pages to update and which to add, and puts it in a report. It does not write the content.
Striking distance keywordsLists searches where you rank at position 8 or lower with more than 10 impressions and few or no clicks, with the page that ranks for each.
Build clusters for a topicYou name a topic. Meelu proposes seed keywords, waits for your OK, then builds clusters and reports what it dropped.
Cluster my Search Console queriesBuilds clusters from the searches you already appear for.

The other screens have their own task cards. See Keyword clusters, Tracked keywords, Competitors and Backlink opportunities.

Suggested prompts on Search performance

The Ask Meelu button on Search performance offers:

  • Striking distance keywords
  • Why did this page drop? You name a page. Meelu compares its searches with the previous period, checks whether it is still indexed, and says what the data can and cannot explain.
  • Where am I invisible? Which pages cannot perform at all because Google does not hold them.

The Traffic screen has its own four prompts.

Saving your own prompts

If you ask the same thing often, save it.

Create the card

Under Your prompts on the SEO home screen, click New prompt.

Fill it in

Give it a Name, which shows on the card. Write the Prompt, which is sent to Meelu exactly as written when you click the card.

Save

Click Save prompt. The card is saved for this website only.

Hover a saved card to see two icons: Edit opens the prompt so you can change it and click Save changes, and Delete removes it after you confirm.

Getting good answers

  • Ask for evidence. Meelu's SEO prompts ask it to use measured numbers and to say plainly when the data is too thin. You can ask the same in your own prompts.
  • Name the page or keyword when your question is about one thing.
  • Expect suggestions, not changes. Meelu tells you what it found and why it matters. You decide what to do with your site. See Suggestions.
  • Tasks use credits. See Credits.
