Create your account
Sign up, confirm your email and tell Meelu who it writes as.
When you open Meelu for the first time, you see the sign-in screen. If you are new, create an account from there.

Open the sign-up screen
On the Welcome back screen, click Create an account.
Fill in your details
Enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters. Your name is optional here. Click Create account.
Confirm your email
Meelu emails you a 6-digit code. Type it in and click Confirm email. The code expires after 10 minutes. If it does not arrive, wait a minute and click Send a new code.
Tell Meelu who it writes as
The next screen asks Who should Meelu write as? Only your name is needed now. Click Open my dashboard to finish.
The "Who should Meelu write as?" screen
This screen is about you, not your business. It stays the same however many websites you add. Meelu uses it to sound like you when it drafts.

| Your name | Your own name. This is the only required field. |
| Role | How you are introduced, for example "Founder". |
| Timezone | Your timezone as a place name, such as "Europe/London" or "Asia/Kolkata", not an abbreviation like "GMT". Meelu fills it in from your computer when it can. |
| How you sign off | The exact lines you end a message with. Line breaks are kept. |
| How you want to come across | Your voice in your own words, for example "Plain-spoken and direct. Short sentences, no jargon, never salesy." |
You can fill in or change all of this later in Settings. In the app you can also ask Meelu to interview you and fill it in. See Your profile.
Spend a minute on your voice
If How you want to come across is empty, Meelu writes in no particular voice. Two or three sentences here make drafts sound more like you.
Signing in later
On the Welcome back screen, enter your email and password and click Sign in.
If you never confirmed your email, Meelu asks for the code before letting you in.
Forgot your password
Ask for a code
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?. Enter your email.
Set a new password
If an account exists for that email, Meelu sends a 6-digit code. Enter it with your new password and click Set new password. The code expires after 10 minutes.
What each button does

| Set new password | Saves your new password and signs you in. |
