Desks

What a desk is in Meelu, and what each desk is for.

A desk is a screen in Meelu for one kind of work. Each desk holds its own data and its own tasks. The Site desk knows your pages. The SEO desk knows your Google numbers. The Content desk holds the pages you are writing.

You find the desks in the sidebar, under Website. They all work on the website shown in the website switcher.

How desks work together

Each desk keeps to its own job. The Site desk does not rank keywords, and the SEO desk does not rewrite your pages.

Meelu, the agent, is what joins them up. When you ask a question that spans two desks, such as "which of my pages get impressions but have almost no internal links?", Meelu reads from both desks in the same task. You do not have to move the data yourself.

If a task needs something another desk owns, Meelu can bring that desk into the task on its own. For example, when you write a page on the Content desk, Meelu loads the Site and SEO desks to pick a target keyword and find pages to link from. The GEO desk always has the SEO desk loaded, so it can ground the questions it suggests in your search data. Bringing a desk in only lets Meelu read more and suggest more. Anything it wants to save still needs your yes.

Counting and charts live on the Analytics desk

Desks show their own data, but they do not answer open-ended number questions like "which section of my site has the most thin pages?" or "how did clicks trend by month?". Those belong on the Analytics desk, which is built to count, compare and chart across all your data.
