Privacy and your data
What Meelu keeps, where it keeps it, and how to remove it.
Meelu keeps only what it needs to work for you. This page is a plain summary. The full legal text is in the Privacy Policy.
What Meelu stores in your account
| Data | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Your account | Your email, your name and your password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody can read it. |
| Your profile | The "who Meelu writes as" details you fill in, such as your role, sign-off and voice. |
| Your websites | The domain, name, target markets and settings you enter, plus what the crawl reads from your public pages: addresses, titles, headings, text, links and technical issues. |
| Google data | Your Search Console and Analytics reports, if you connect them. |
| Your work | Content drafts, notes, saved prompts, saved reports, analytics chats and the suggestions Meelu makes, with whether you approved or turned them down. |
| Keyword data | Keywords and competitors you track. |
| Billing | Your balance, your credit history and a record of each payment. Card details go to the payment provider and never reach Meelu. |
Each account's data is kept separate in the database, so one account cannot read another's.
What stays on your computer
- your Google sign-in tokens
- your own Anthropic key, if you add one
- the app's own settings
These are encrypted by your operating system's secure storage, such as Keychain on macOS. They are never sent to Meelu's servers.
Google data
Meelu asks Google for read-only access. It cannot change anything in your Search Console or Analytics. Meelu uses this data to show you how your site performs, to answer your questions about it, and to ground its suggestions in your real numbers.
Meelu does not sell Google data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train AI models.
When you ask the agent something
What you type, and the data the agent needs to answer (such as your pages, keywords or reports), is sent to the AI model you selected. If you use your own Anthropic key, it goes straight to Anthropic under your account. Meelu does not use your data to train models.
For each AI request, Meelu logs the model, the number of tokens, the cost and whether it worked, so it can charge credits correctly. It does not keep the text of your conversations in those logs.
How long data is kept
- Your account is kept until you ask for it to be deleted.
- A website's data, including its Google data, is kept until you delete the website.
- A website that stays paused for 30 days for lack of credits is deleted, with all its data.
- Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
